It depends on many factors to smoothly play the HD files.
but your pc should be able to play the rips or lower than 1080i files,
and if your 32" <1920x1080, you dont need to play >1080i files.
my cpu is amd, so i am not so sure about intel, u can have a try to run >1080i, and tell us the results.
